FOFO × TAJMI — Open Kitchen

For FOFO and TAJMI House’s Open Kitchen, Natalie Dubrovska was invited to respond to an evening centred around flowers — explored as ingredients, fertile bodies, symbols and aesthetic forms.
While FOFO approached flowers through taste, colour and food, Dubrovska’s glass sculptures looked beyond the plate. Stripped of colour, scent and taste, the flowers remained as transparent forms shaped by light, turning something organic and ephemeral into something seemingly permanent.

Placed throughout the shared table, the glass flowers became part of the dinner itself, sitting somewhere between sculpture, decoration and tableware. Food, objects and guests formed a temporary landscape in which flowers could be eaten, touched, observed and reimagined

Dubrovska Studio created an installation of 60 handmade glass flowers, developed in response to the evening’s menu. Some of the pieces echoed ingredients and forms found in the dishes — from delicate courgette flowers to more abstract botanical shapes — creating a playful connection between the food and the objects surrounding it.

Reliquia Collection of glassware was presented at the event.
